My first guide touches the highlights of an area of England north of London and close to the Cotswolds. There are maps to help you navigate, sightseeing choices in Oxford, Warwick, Stratford and Kenilworth.

Warwick and Stratford:

The second guide in the series continues in the same vein. Instructions on getting into York, a map of the city, accommodation choices and sightseeing in the city. There is also a Sightseeing Map of York's attractions which allows you to plan your visit to cover as many attractions as you choose.

The guide expands its focus by looking at  National Trust and English Heritage sites both within York and a short drive away. There is a section on Day Trips from the city and the attractions that can be seen. If you are a member of National Trust, you get in for free. We have been members for years and always consider we get good value for money.

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge

My third guide touches the highlights of this central eastern part of England.  There are maps, sightseeing choices, accommodation and National Trust options. This is an area often missed by tourists but one that is rich in history, abounds with hiking options and has a fascinating industrial heritage found in Ironbridge. Shrewsbury is a medieval gem with the black and white buildings and a castle to explore. South of Shrewsbury are the Shropshire Hills which are a perfect place for hiking.

City of Bath:

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge

The city of Bath needs no introduction. It is a world heritage site containing the ancient Roman Baths, Regency buildings and is the entrance city for the South West of England. One never tires of Bath. There is much to see and explore both in the city with its fine museums and spa and in the surrounding areas. The guide outlines in maps, sightseeing suggestions and day trips how you can best enjoy your visit to Bath. As with the other guides, there are National Trust suggestions, walking tours and  driving suggestions to take in the surrounding areas of interest. The sightseeing in Bath includes Historic buildings, museums and galleries as well as festivals and other attractions, such as the famous spa.
